A Lady of Leisure..

Tonight one of my projects is finally launching.. which means I get to stay up until 1 or 2 am making sure everything is working properly, if it goes well that is. If it doesn't, it will be even later. Usually, I'm not involved on launch nights, I'm not sure how I got wrangled into this one. Anyway.. because of all this I didn't have to come in until the afternoon. Life is so much easier when you don't have to come to work in the am! I got up around 9, I went to the gym.. where most of the machines were wide open, no waiting (utopia!). There is a whole different class of people at the gym during the day than at night. The night people are on a schedule and the gym is usually crowded, so it's move, move, move. Get the most workout in the time you have there. Have an hour? 50 min. on machine of choice at level 10 until you drip of sweat. Go! Go! Go.. because there are people waiting for the machines. 10 min. to shower and change you you're out of there. The day folks are far more leisurely… they will ride that bike at level 1 for what seemed like 3 hours. And none of them looked stressed. They looked at me as if I was a visitor from the planet stressoid while I was doing my usual elliptical machine routine. After the gym I came home and was cleaning while watching Tom Daschle on tv. He called Bush's tax plan the "Leave no millionaire behind" tax plan. I would have missed that priceless gem if I'd been at work. Then I went to work on the uncrowded, quickly moving train. Got coffee at the store with no line for coffee. I need to change my schedule! I want this leisurely day life! Anyone have tips on how to become a lady of leisure??-----

REAL

Everything has changed. Nothing has changed. I don't want to go through this again. I can't live without it. I'm sure I can handle it. I couldn't imagine it any other way.
And if none of this makes sense... well, you obviously aren't a Red Sox fan.
