I just got this email from my friend who lives in LA (in response to my email to her that for $3,000 and 150 signatures, she could be on the ballot as well):
This whole thing is annoying. I voted for the gov already, and I have to do it again? Can I vote for president again too? I don't like how that one turned out.
I SO wish we could recall Blank Stare!-----

I am highly not in favor of recall elections. Flat out because you (I mean the individual voter) had their chance to make a difference, make a change BY VOTING THE FIRST TIME AROUND. Granted, King George was not elected by the popular vote, he lost that election, he was selected by his brother's croanies in the courts, but in general, if you don't vote you have no reason to bitch. Like in Pittsburgh, where 30% (+ or -) vote, but 100% of the people bitch. Get out, vote and make a differnce. You should not whine and moan about not liking how things turned out with an elected official then go out and attempt a recall election. Just my $0.02.

I could run for Guhv-nah! But who in their right minds WANTS that job? That's the scary part. The position is actually "Clean up somebody else's mess" position. So folks are clamouring to be neck-deep in *expletive deleted*.
