I've Been Lolita-ed!

I'd like to point out some helpful information a very nice commenter left me (for those who don't delve into the comments):

they don't really care if anybody actually reads their posts. What they're trying to do is build up their Google ratings because Google uses links to determine a page's weight but it can't differentiate between a crap link and a real link. This is why you'll often see spam links attached to old posts - the spammers use Google to find Weblogs that allow comments, then start posting away. In fact, at first they do it by hand, then, if they notice the links stick (i.e, you don't remove them right away), they set some automated spambots loose.

In a word: Grrr! Unfortunately, the Lolita guy is using a range of IP numbers so, at least in Movable Type, you have to ban each one. You can read more at

I will take the time to delete this and block the IP's because this is bullshit. How low a life form do you have to be to do this? Pathetic.-----

Interesting. This just happened to my site. They picked a post entited "Score!" (which actually had nothing to do with sex at all, but I guess it came up in Google).

Everything has changed. Nothing has changed. I don't want to go through this again. I can't live without it. I'm sure I can handle it. I couldn't imagine it any other way.
And if none of this makes sense... well, you obviously aren't a Red Sox fan.
