I'd be deterred from continuing to ask these questions based on the fact that no one seems to care about my tile selection, but you'd be wrong. Next up:
replace parquet wood floor or go with plank wood? Same color as before.-----

I'd give you my advice, but I'm as completely clueless as it gets. I watch those stupid fix up shows and swear everything they do makes the rooms worse (except when they kick in the new flat screen plasma TV!).
