that all the bank wanting you to open accounts with them show ads of friendly, helpful branch staff sitting at a desk discussing "free" checking accounts with potential customers, when the reality is that the last place banks want you to go is to the branch and talk to an actual person who gets paid an actual salary. No, they want you applying online on the cheap. They have absolutely no intention of giving you good service on your regular checking account.
