Karma is not always a bitch...

I was having an a bad day Monday (are there any other kind of Mondays?), when I got a call: "how would you like to go to the Red Sox Wednesday night"? Is that a retorical question? But of course, count me in!

So I rescheduled my Wednesday plans for Thursday.

On Tuesday, I got a call from someone else: How would you like to go to the Red Sox game on Thursday? Hmm... this offer included some people I don't really like. So between that and having to rescheudule my Thursday plans which had been reschedueled from Wednesday, which would start to get rude, I sadly declined.

Wednesday comes along and it's raining and cold. And I'm thinking: here is what is going to happen, it's going to be rained out, they will make it up in a double header on Thursday, which I won't be able to attend. Then I would be in this situation: not seeing the Wednesday game, rescheduled my Wednesday plans for Thursday, and I'll have given up the Thursday night tickets. Waaaaa... I was convinced that this is what would happen when on my way to the game, I was standing at a corner, off the curb waiting to cross the street and a car literally back up into me. Um.. hello, I'm standing here!

But I did get to go the game on Wednesday. Yea! But they lost. Waaa... but anyday you get to go to Fenway is a good day.

MTP WTF?

SOMEONE explain to me why the guy who played Bush's double last week at the White House Correspondents dinner is on Meet the Press this morning. This is a NEWS program and he and his comedic career are NOT news.
I literally can not believe how long this is going on - at least 10 minutes, on a major network news show. There is alot going on in the world that people should be aware of. This guy belongs on those celebrity shows so I can safely be completely unaware of him. I am so disgusted right now, I may have to start boycotting the show.

Did You Wake Me Up Because September Ended?

I've sort of lost track of the pitching rotation changes.. So when someone told me that these are the pitching matchups for this weeks Red Sox/Yankees series:

Tues: Josh Beckett/Randy Johnson
Weds: Curt Schilling/Mike Mussina
Thurs: Tim Wakefield/Shawn Chacon

I said: WEEEEEEEEEEeeeeeeeee.....

Just Sayin'

Over there last 4 games, the Red Sox have outscored their opponents 39 - 12.

I'm also just saying: who were the Bad News Bears in the Yankee uniforms* tonight?

Damn

Due to the dirth of baseball round these parts over the last few days (and thank goodness I was spared watching Friday), I was forced to watch my favorite baseball game of all time, Game 4 of 2004 ALCS (alright, only from the 9th inning on), featuring the steal heard round the world and walk off home run heard round the world.

Sometimes the rain isn't all bad......

Things I Am Happy About..

1. I am not under water, as many in New England are. Good luck to the water logged.
2. Even the wing nuts are starting to clue in that Bush is an incompetent boob.
3. Red Sox baseball is back (in Baltimore, where according to what I saw on tv, there was sun. SUN!).
4. Beckett is back, too.
4. And holy crap:

Just Wondering...

how humilitating is it for the home team when the Red Sox come to town and fill the stands with more fans than the locals? I would die of embarassment if I were a fan of one of those times.

I'm talking to you Philly, Baltimore, Tampa Bay and prior to this year, Toronto.

On Another Day, C'mon C'mon

Rescue Me returns tonight and all I can say is THANK GOD. They took The West Wing and Commander in Chief away from me.. Boston Legal and The Office are on summer vacation... if it weren't for Rescue Me, I'd be in complete dispair.
